The Circle fill strategy's stripe layouts (FillEndOdd, FillEndEven) now try
switching from staggered to straight stripes, a diameter apart over the last
staggered stripe, at every stripe, all staggered and all straight included,
and keep the switch that places the most; a tie stays staggered. A 9" circle
on a 60x120 sheet at 0.2 spacing now fills 89 (five staggered rows, two
straight) instead of 88.

FillEndOdd and FillEndEven had no production callers, so round parts
only got stripe layouts. A Circle strategy now runs them in the fill
pipeline: 8in circles on a 60x120 go from 98 to 112.

Thirteen test classes built the same origin-anchored rectangle drawing in
their own private helper (MakeRectDrawing, MakeRect or Rect). They now
call TestHelpers.MakeRectDrawing.

The repo mixed variants such as center/centre and color/colour, so a
name could be spelled either way and searches missed half the hits.
Standardize on the US spelling, matching .NET's own APIs (Color, Center).
Wire values owned by other systems keep their spelling: the material
ledger's "Cancelled" hold status and GitHub's "cancelled" job status.
No behavior change beyond the spelling of a few status messages.

DefaultPlateFiller becomes PlateFiller(plate, policy, layout); PlateFillerBase
and StripPlateFiller are gone. PlateLayout.FillThenPack is the old
orchestrator path (Fill and both Remnants); PlateLayout.Strips is the old
StripPlateFiller.Nest, and Strip is Fill policy plus Strips layout.
Lifetimes are unchanged: a strip-layout filler runs every Fill, group Fill
and PackArea on a fresh inner filler and gives each strip fresh remnant
fillers, so learned angles and PlateNumber never leak into them. The
comparer, preferred direction, trim axis and angle recording now read the
policy directly. The base class's unsorted two-angle BuildAngles is dropped:
only DefaultPlateFiller's pipeline called BuildAngles, and Strip never ran it.
Layout-neutral: all 29 FillStackCharacterizationTests pins pass unchanged.

FillStrategyRegistry now holds a fixed, ordered list of the seven
built-in strategies (Pairs, Row, Column, RectBestFit, Extents, Linear,
TiltedRemnant, in their Order sequence) instead of reflecting over the
Engine assembly. LoadFrom and LoadPlugins are gone; nothing outside
tests called them, so outside IFillStrategy plug-ins were never loaded
by a shipped host and none are loaded now. IFillStrategy stays public.
The disabled set stays process-wide and keeps its Disable, Enable,
SetEnabled, Strategies, AllStrategies and DisabledNames behavior for the
Options form. DefaultPlateFiller still reads Strategies, so interactive
Fill, the fixed-strategy engines, Irregular's block catalog and private
plate fill, the cutout lattice fill and the brute-force runner all keep
honoring it.
PlateViewFillLifetimeTests drives fills through PlateView, which builds
its own filler, so a filler-level seam can't reach it. The registry gets
an internal UseForTesting hook that swaps the list until disposed, and
the WinForms test project can see Engine internals for it.

Fill only tried 0 and 90 degrees for parts classified as rectangles, so a long
part filling a 60 x 120 plate four high at 90 degrees left a 55 x 59 strip empty
although two more fit tilted about 33 degrees (a reported nest: 4 placed, 6 fit).
The second tilted part only fits with its corner tucked beside the grid, in the
strip the grid's slack leaves, so a plain rectangular remnant fill finds one.
TiltedRemnant runs after the other strategies. It moves the best layout flush to
one end so leftover room becomes one remnant, and to either end of the other axis
so its slack forms one strip; then tiles the part at the most upright angles that
fit the remnant's height and keeps only copies at least the part spacing from the
layout. It is skipped when the part fits the remnant upright, for circles, for an
explicit rotation range and once the requested quantity is placed.
Fill benchmark (--parallel 1): the synthetic set is unchanged (all valid, same
cost and plates). The reported part needs 1 sheet instead of 2 for 6 parts and
2 instead of 3 for 12.

Interactive Fill ran the best-fit pair phase first. The first pair
computation for a drawing can take about a minute, and until it finished
the progress dialog showed no layout, Accept stayed disabled and the
status text did not change.
The fill now packs the part boxes (RectBestFit) before the pair phase and
reports that layout, so Accept is available at once. The layout is only a
fallback: strategies still run in their usual order, and a completed fill
picks the same winner as before. While the pairs are computed, the detail
line reads "Computing best-fit pairs (may take a minute)...". Accept or
Stop now stops the wait. The computation keeps running in the background
and is cached for the next fill.

FillPattern gathered per-angle results in a ConcurrentBag and kept the first best it
enumerated, so an exact tie between angles went to whichever worker finished first:
identical inputs could return different, equally scored layouts. Results now sit in
slots indexed by angle, V before H within an angle (the order the single-angle bag
already produced and the existing tie tests pin), and ties keep the earliest slot.
Single-angle behaviour is unchanged.
Regression: a never-prefer comparer over one 0-degree and fifteen 180-degree angles
must keep the 0-degree layout in 50 of 50 calls; it failed on the old code.
Repo-wide sweep with the pinned CSharpier 1.3.0 tool. Whitespace and
line-wrapping only; OpenNest.Engine.Tests (109) and OpenNest.IO.Tests
pass after reformat, full solution builds 0 errors.
Added .csharpierignore so csproj/config XML keeps its existing layout
(CSharpier's XML wrapping churns attributes with zero benefit).
Formatting is now enforceable: dotnet csharpier check . passes.
Consolidated two stateless classes into one unified API: Dxf.Import(),
Dxf.GetGeometry(), Dxf.ExportPlate(), Dxf.ExportProgram(). Export
state moved into a private ExportContext. Removed bool+out pattern
from GetGeometry in favor of returning empty list on failure.

Box constructor and derived properties (Right, Top, Center, Translate, Offset)
had Width and Length swapped — Length is X axis, Width is Y axis. Corrected
across Core geometry, plate bounding box, rectangle packing, fill algorithms,
tests, and UI renderers.
Added FillSpiral with center remnant detection and recursive FillBest on
the gap between the 4 spiral quadrants. RectFill.FillBest now compares
spiral+center vs full best-fit fairly. BestCombination returns a
CombinationResult record instead of out params.

Move 43 root-level test files into feature-specific subdirectories
mirroring the main codebase structure: Geometry, Fill, BestFit, CutOffs,
CuttingStrategy, Engine, IO. Update namespaces to match folder paths.

New EngineOverlapTests verifies all engine types produce overlap-free
results. New StrategyOverlapTests checks each fill strategy individually.
StripeFillerTests updated to verify returned parts are overlap-free
rather than just asserting non-empty results. Remove obsolete FitCircle
tests from GeometrySimplifierTests (method was removed).

Adds methods to permanently disable/enable strategies by name. Disabled
strategies remain registered but are excluded from the default pipeline.
SetEnabled (used for remnant fills) takes precedence over the disabled
set, so explicit overrides still work.
Pipeline test now checks against active strategy count dynamically.

The convergence loop now ensures the pair starts with its short side
parallel to the primary axis, maximizing the number of pairs that fit.
Also adds ConvergeStripeAngleShrink to try N+1 narrower pairs, and
evaluates both expand and shrink results to pick the better grid.

Move fill algorithms to OpenNest.Engine.Fill namespace:
FillLinear, FillExtents, PairFiller, ShrinkFiller, Compactor,
RemnantFiller, RemnantFinder, FillScore, Pattern, PatternTiler,
PartBoundary, RotationAnalysis, AngleCandidateBuilder, and
AccumulatingProgress.
Move strategy layer to OpenNest.Engine.Strategies namespace:
IFillStrategy, FillContext, FillStrategyRegistry, FillHelpers,
and all built-in strategy implementations.
Add using directives to all consuming files across Engine, UI,
MCP, and Tests projects.
