Every nesting-geometry consumer filtered only rapids, so scribe/etch
moves counted as part material. An etch tick that ends a hair outside
the outline (PEP bend ticks start on the notch edge) made the part
"open geometry leaving the material region": the job validator threw
and every built-in engine plus Gpt6Astra crashed on real PEP jobs
(PT75, drawing 4980 A01 PT77). Marks are only on the surface, so they
should never affect placement, collision, area, or validation.
- SpecialLayers.IsMaterial excludes Rapid and Scribe; used by drawing
area, canonical angle, part collision, PartGeometry, plate perimeter,
best-fit/pair evaluation, rotation analysis, GPU evaluators, and both
validators. Timing, display, splitting and posts still see marks.
- ConvertGeometry also maps the saved SCRIBE layer name to Scribe, so
programs rebuilt from stored entities keep their marks.
- NestReader repairs older files (e.g. PepNestExport output) whose
programs saved etch as cut moves while source entities kept SCRIBE.

PEP-exported programs carry arc centers that are not equidistant from the
start and end points (e.g. I0.03 on a 0.0598 chord). Building the arc from
the end radius left its start off the previous move's end, so contours
failed to chain. Project the center onto the chord's perpendicular bisector.
The Draw Offset display offset each entity separately, which left spikes and
inverted loops wherever a feature is narrower than the spacing (1.nest,
P260417-06). Inflate the flattened region with Clipper instead, which
collapses narrow features and drops holes that close up.

Repo-wide sweep with the pinned CSharpier 1.3.0 tool. Whitespace and
line-wrapping only; OpenNest.Engine.Tests (109) and OpenNest.IO.Tests
pass after reformat, full solution builds 0 errors.
Added .csharpierignore so csproj/config XML keeps its existing layout
(CSharpier's XML wrapping churns attributes with zero benefit).
Formatting is now enforceable: dotnet csharpier check . passes.
GeometrySimplifier/ArcFit now fit arcs that pass exactly through run
endpoints while balancing tangency error between trusted and estimated
directions, fixing arcs that previously bulged or broke tangent
continuity at fillet/compound-curve junctions.
GravographIS post processor gains per-layer (engrave/cut) tool passes
via a new GravographISPostConfig, so ENGRAVE/ETCH-tagged geometry runs
as a separate scribe pass with its own feed/depth and an operator
pause before the cut pass (spring-floated spindle needs a tool swap).

Ellipse-to-arc conversion creates tiny floating-point gaps (~0.00002")
between consecutive arc segments. ShapeBuilder chains these with
ChainTolerance (0.0001"), but ConvertGeometry checked gaps with Epsilon
(0.00001"). Gaps between these thresholds generated spurious rapid moves
that broke GraphicsPath figures, causing diagonal fill artifacts from
GDI+'s implicit figure closing.
Root cause fix: align ConvertGeometry's gap check with ShapeBuilder's
ChainTolerance so precision gaps are absorbed instead of generating rapids.
Defense-in-depth: GraphicsHelper no longer breaks figures at near-zero
rapids, protecting against any programs with residual tiny rapids.

Near-zero-sweep arcs with large radius (e.g. from ellipse converter) have
nearly-coincident start/end points. Downstream code (ConvertProgram, Program
BoundingBox) treats coincident start/end as a full 360° circle, inflating the
bounding box and rendering wrong geometry. Emit a LinearMove when sweep is
negligible — geometrically equivalent and avoids the ambiguity. Also fix the
ellipse converter to produce lines instead of degenerate arcs at the source.

ConvertMode.ToIncremental skipped SubProgramCall codes entirely when
computing deltas, so parent motions after a sub-call were encoded as if
the tool never moved. Several traversal sites (ConvertProgram,
GraphicsHelper, PlateRenderer, CutDirectionArrows, Program.BoundingBox)
worked around this with save/restore hacks that treated sub-calls as
transparent — but DrawRapids legitimately tracks actual tool position,
so after the last hole the first perimeter rapid was applied to the
wrong base, drifting the rendered perimeter past the plate edge by
roughly the distance to the last hole.
Fix the root cause: ToIncremental and ToAbsolute now walk sub-programs
to compute where they leave the tool, and advance pos accordingly. The
other traversals capture a frameOrigin at entry and compute sub-call
placement as frameOrigin + Offset, letting pos advance naturally
through the sub recursion. All the save/restore workarounds are
removed.
Program.BoundingBox also picks up the same frame-origin treatment,
which corrects a latent bug where absolute-mode endpoints and nested
sub-calls dropped the parent's frame origin.

ConvertMode.ToIncremental skips SubProgramCalls when computing deltas,
so all code paths that expand SubProgramCalls must: (1) set curpos to
savedPos + Offset before expanding, and (2) restore curpos afterward
so subsequent incremental codes get correct deltas.
Fixed in ConvertProgram, GraphicsHelper (AddProgram, AddProgramSplit),
PlateRenderer (DrawRapids, DrawProgramPiercePoints, GetFirstPiercePoint),
and CutDirectionArrows.

Inline sub-program geometry into the parent geometry list using Offset
as the starting curpos, replacing the Shape-wrapping approach.

Circle.Rotation was lost in three places, causing reversed circles to
still offset inward instead of outward:
- ConvertGeometry.AddCircle hardcoded CCW instead of using circle.Rotation
- ConvertProgram.AddArcMove created Circle without setting Rotation from arc
- Shape.OffsetOutward/OffsetInward copied Circle without setting Rotation

Etch marks for up bends are now real geometry entities on an ETCH layer
instead of being drawn dynamically. They flow through the full pipeline:
entities → FilterPanel layers → ConvertGeometry (tagged as Scribe) →
post-processor sequencing before cut geometry.
Also includes ShapeProfile normalization (CW perimeter, CCW cutouts)
applied consistently across all import paths, and inward offset support
for cutout shapes in overlap/offset polygon calculations.

ConvertProgram.ToGeometry() created entities without setting Color,
defaulting to Color.Empty (alpha=0). After ededc7b switched from
Pens.White to per-entity colors, these rendered fully transparent.
- Add explicit colors to all SpecialLayers (Cut=White, Rapid=Gray, etc.)
- Set entity Color from layer in ConvertProgram for lines, arcs, circles
- Add GetEntityPen fallback: treat Empty/alpha-0 as White
- Add bend line rendering and selection in EntityView/CadConverterForm
- Fix SolidWorksBendDetector MText formatting strip for bend notes
